Get Moving

   A lot of girls have trouble finding fun ways to get active. Most of the times you think about doing it but then you forget about it. The best way to solve this problem is making exercise a daily routine so every day pick a time when you are not busy with home work and other things. It could be before dinner then when you are done you can sit down with a nice meal. Just pick what ever works for you. Note that it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to break a habit so it would take that much time of not talking on the phone or watching TV to want to be out side.   

 A good thing to look into is some fun active games that get you moving like the Wii or games with dance pads. The best way to know if you got a good work out is if you have a lot of sweat. It may seem gross and icky but you will feel the accomplishment of getting out there.   

 

 In some school you go into they may have you run a mile in Gym class if so this can seem scary if it is your first time. I can be really hard to if you are graded on this and also timed. The best way to run a mile and not feel like you are very out of breath and legs sore is Practice. The best time to practice is during the summer time before school so you will have a lot of time. But when you are busy like during school days is to walk it doesn’t have to be a long one earthier. Also when you are training it is best to take small steps each day like the first day. You just try walking a half a mile then the next day do the same the start walking a mile. Once you are comfortable with that try to speed walk and try to beat your time that you set the other day. Remember to give you self a break between a few days of training to let your body rebuild its strength. Also do some breathing exercises to help you not feel so not of breath. All you have to do is a few times a day deeply breathe and breathe out. This will help your lungs become more used to breathing so heavily.

Bad Dreams

A lot of girls have bad dreams and end up not getting enough sleep trough the night. Use these tips to help through the night.

  • When you have bad thoughts or bad dreams think to yourself that you are a thousand times bigger than what your afraid of and think that they look like loony and zaney cartoon characters on T.V.  and blow them away.
  • Walk around your room and look every where, even under the bed. You will find nothing there.
  • Pick your favorite stuffed animals and border them around whatever place looks very scary.
  • Put a cool night light or small lamp in your room to light up your room.
  • Avoid watching scary or disturbing movies or T.V shows before going to bed.
  • Thinking about stuff you could dream about also helps. For example thinking about you owning your business or what you are going to be when you grow up helps to keep your mind off it.
  • You can also write down your scary dreams in a journal.

Brush Your Teeth

It may be the simplest thing in the world to do, yet is is so hard to remember. Brushing your teeth is very important in a healthy girls life and it SHOULD be done two times every day.

gumsoft-picks.jpgThey way you are supposed to brush your teeth is you have to get the front, back and top of every tooth. You should brush for at least 2 minutes.

After you're done with all of that you have to floss through every tooth sliding in there and scraping the plaque off the sides. If you have a hard time using the string floss, especially girls with braces, there is product called Gum Soft-Picks and they have these thin little rubber strips that slide in between your teeth. These were recommended by my Dentist since I recently got my braces.

You may also want to consider using mouth wash every night so you will wake up with a fresh smile. Try to avoid using the mouth washes with strong flavors because you may end up spiting it out. You can also fight bad breath by brushing your tongue every time you brush your teeth.


Eat Right

 Eating right can be hard for some girls but it is important use this advice to help. 

 

What Should I Eat?

 A girl should eat foods of all color this doesn't mean different colored candies it means vegetables, fruits, meats, and breads. Every girl should have 3 healthy meals a day with 1 healthy snack. All the meals should be proportioned and evened out. So instead of 4 cups of rice 2 cups of rice. Talk to your mom and dad to of think healthy meals the they and you can make but still taste good. Write down what a normal day would be for you including food and then think of how much you can minimized or add to the times you eat. Also look at a food pyramid and think if your getting at least 4 different colors of food a day. 

Tip

 When ever you are eating a bag of chips don't eat right out of the bag take a small Ziplock bag and fill it with some chips so you can control how much your eating.

 Tip

   Try healthy foods and foods you like together like pasta with out sauce with spinach with melted butter on it.

  Try switching out your normal foods with organic foods they pretty much tast the same ectsept that their organic
